Therapy groups provide a safe and structured environment to foster personal growth and emotional health.

Each of our groups are organized around a specific challenge or need.

Therapy groups can be a great place to get started with The Light House.

Services for Adults

Trauma Processing Group: Open to any adult who has experienced trauma

This group allows for members to drop in when they need extra support without having to commit to coming every week. Once registered, you are free to come as often as you would like.

The group takes place every Monday from 7-8:15pm.

For Women Only Trauma Processing Group

The purpose of the group is to help members process thoughts and emotions that arise in daily life and are based on past life experiences. We will work on developing skills for emotion regulation, healthy communication, boundary setting and distress tolerance to improve coping with everyday stress/anxiety. This group allows for members to drop in when they need extra support without having to commit to coming every week.

Group can be billed to your insurance. Out of pocket costs would depend on your insurance policy. Private pay rate is $30/session. If cost is an issue please let us know! We never want finances to be a reason someone does not get the support they need.

Services for Children

Confident Teen: For teens who need to connect and build confidence!

The group will run Wednesdays from 7-8pm beginning February 7th through May 8th. Confident teen will take place at 97 Main St., Manchester, CT 06042, facilitated by Katie Jordan, LCSW. Services may be covered by insurance. We will determine out of pocket cost after initial registration. Husky A pays 100%.

Mighty Minds: Ages 7-10

The purpose of this group is to help elementary school-aged children develop skills around emotion regulation, calming down, communication and making connection with peers and caregivers.

This group is scheduled to start Tuesday, January 30th, 5:30-6:45pm at the Light House. The group will meet every week through March 12th and will be facilitated by Genaro Adrian, Ph. D. The group will begin with group work with the children then include the parents and caregivers for the last 15 minutes. The parent/caregiver wrap-up allows for integration of skills and language outside of the office.

The cost of registration is billable to most insurance. Husky A covers these services 100%. Other commercial insurance policies vary greatly. We will look up your specific policy to give you the out of pocket cost if you wish to use your insurance for payment. If you are not using insurance, the private pay rate is $30/session.

Social Thinking for Middle Schoolers

The group will take place at 97 Main St., Manchester, CT 06042. It will be Tuesdays from 4-5pm beginning January 30th and run through April 30th.
