Samantha Hawes, LMSW

I have a Masters of Social work from Sacred Heart University and a B.A. in Psychology from Rhode Island College. I have 15 years experience in the mental health field working with various populations including individuals with developmental disabilities, therapeutic support to children with social/emotional and behavioral health issues,  parents involved with DCF, incarcerated fathers, hospice/palliative care and child bereavement, and intensive in-home child and adolescent psychiatric services.

My passion’s are helping to address and drive out intergenerational trauma through psychotherapy. My approach is client-focused, utilizing various therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, talk therapy, and mindfulness/meditation practices. My passions are working with individuals who have experienced incarceration, postpartum depression, homeschoolers and parent-educators and those seeking Christian counseling.
